Dear residents of the flea market neighborhood,

 

Recently, there has been a significant worsening in the noise nuisance caused by certain businesses in the neighborhood.

 

We understand that these are difficult times for businesses, and we do not intend to harm them in any way. At the same time, it is important to maintain the unique fabric of the neighborhood, which combines residents and businesses.

 

Main problem:

• The noise level exceeds the legally permitted standard according to the Ministry of Environmental Protection and according to a Tel Aviv by-law of 80DB.

• Although the permit to hold performances expires in December 2024, the business continues to hold performances without a permit.

• Repeated requests from neighborhood residents to stop or reduce the noise nuisance are met with disdain.

• Reports to the 106 and 100 hotlines do not yield an effective solution, and even after receiving the report, the businesses continue to exceed the noise level.

 

Unfortunately, requests to authorities such as the Ministry of Environmental Protection, Business Licensing, the Jaffa Supplement, and the Tel Aviv Municipality have not been responded to so far. Therefore, we intend to take legal action.
